Oh, man, this is going to be awesome.
I've been asked to be the guest-photographer at this years Star Island Retreat put on by the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists. Star Island is part of the Isle of Shoals off the NH coast, and each year the NHSPA gets together to spend four days talking shop, sharing stories, experiences and shooting, and generally has a grand time making photographs and being surrounded and inspiring each other. Each year they have a "guest" photographer, and I've been invited to be the 2017 guest-photographer for this event! So awesome!
I'll be accessible for the four days on the Island; answering questions, shooting with others, and anything they need all while making photographs of my own.
I'm also going to dust off the "Portable Portrait" workshop, which has been on hiatus for a few years now. It will be a more condensed form of the workshop so I can fit a few of them in over the four days. I've never been on Star Island before, so I'm getting excited about being "off-the-grid" for the most part and photographing on a historical site.

This crazy wide-angle shot of the studio was taken during the last month I had the studio in the Picker Building. I was already packing things into boxes and moving stuff out when this shot was taken. My buddy Andrew had a really wide-angle lens and brought it by so I could take a peek at it, and I snapped this while he was visiting.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I miss these wooden floors. I miss them terribly. They were beautiful and had such history to them. The though of them being torn up, or paved over, or destroyed so the building can be turned into apartments makes me exceptionally sad.
I'VE MOVED!
After 12 years at the Picker Building, I've relocated my studio to 3 Pine Street, Nashua NH. Just up the hill from the Picker Building, which is being sold and turned into apartments.
There is a group of artists from the Picker Building who are calling 3 Pine Street their home.

as I wrote previously, the Hasselblad that I own came from the hands of one of the people who prepared the Hasselblad's that went to the Moon on that historic mission.

Hannah Sanders continues garnering acclaim for her debut solo album "Charms Against Sorrow" which I photographed and designed late last year. Leading UK folk magazine fROOTS just featured a review of Hannah's album, and generously giving the photography a paragraph of mention:
