In a very short amount of time, Amy Petty has become a dear friend. When our paths crossed for the first time, it really was like two old friends meeting for the first time. It was an instant mutual admiration for one another mixed with the same kind of humor and compassion, as well as being fans of the very same music. It's so awesome when you can meet someone how you just click with and can be instant friends.
Amy also sang for us at our wedding, doing the most beautiful version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" I've ever heard (it is Sara's favorite song). Amy, with her gorgeous voice (she's a trained Opera singer-turned-singer/songwriter) made me explode with tears and emotion during the song, which was dedicated to Sara.
I got together with Amy in October, for no other reason than to spending the day with my friend; we shot pictures, we ate dill pickle potato chips, and we even recorded a Podcast with her as the guest (she even sang a few songs - go listen to it here: nonazon.com/podcast/2011/10/029-special-guest-amy-petty/).
Here are some selected images from the proof set. Some of these will also be used as examples for her record label as the kind of services I provide.
