Steve and I are mutual friends of Studio 99's owner, Elise. Steve saw my work hanging at the venue one night during a piano karaoke event, liked what he saw and got in contact with me. He was getting ready for a push of his own music, and was getting a website ready and wanted some professional level images that he could use for different purposes.
We decided to do some shots on white so he could easily design them up for website, posters, flyers, social media, etc.
Firstly, look at that jawline. I mean look at it. How gorgeous is that? What a good looking kid.
As the session ended and Steve put on his coat to leave, we grabbed a few shots of him with a darker background. We instantly had one of the best shots of the session and we almost missed it because he was getting ready to head out the door. Always keep your lights on and everything ready for a shoot. Even when the client is packed up and ready to head out the door. You never know when you might see the perfect shot and need to go for it.
I'm hoping I get to work with Steve again soon. He's informed me he wants to do a location shoot to balance out the studio work we did. Excellent.
